GOA MUSEUM

The new cultural centre and an essential part of the Goan community.

When the Goa State Museum started a renewal program for their campus, the vision was to relocate to a new modern building, organize exhibits, improve circulation and establish a signature image connecting to the city and the context and invoking pride in the people of Panaji.

The ArchWert team simplified the client’s vision and designed the Museum’s new facilities with uninterrupted circulation with constant points of interests, variety of spaces and elements of surprises that connects the city, culture and rich heritage. The design incorporates details and finishes of the new architecture while remaining sensitive to the surroundings, and several sustainable features to protect the collections from the coastal weather and conditions. Bold colours are used throughout the campus to enliven the overall atmosphere.
